Summary

The importance of SILAT in the evolution of research on morphological terminology (anatomical, histological, and embryological) in Latin America is described. It was observed that since its creation (2009) and up to the present, the number of published works in this discipline has increased, contributing to the dissemination and use of international terminology in universities and scientific societies (anatomical and medical).
