Summary

To disseminate knowledge in life sciences, use a specialized language and even the entire scientific community. Despite this, in texts and articles in embryology terms they are used which are not and should not be in Terminologia Embryologica (TE), published in 2013. This occurs in the terms used to describe the blastogenesis. We analyze the terms blastogenesis [ST. 1 Ad 7] (E2.0.1.2.0.0.2), blastocystis [ST. 3 ad 5] (E2.0.1.2.0.0.12) and cavitas blastocystica (E6.0.1.1.2.0.3) and contrast them with scientific journal articles where such terms are used and other related. The term indicates blastogenesis generating an immature cell shape. Blastulation in the literature as a synonym development means an immature small cell shape is also used. Blastocyst is used to name the immature cell shape when cavitation occurred, and is also used blastula, defined as immature small cell shape. Blastocele blastocyst cavity and are used synonymously in the human species, and TE specifies that should be used in amphibians and birds. Most of the terms used in TE semantically define the biological process or structure. However, in the literature terms with other meanings, despite the specifications on their use are used. an altered vision of reality morphological, disorienting the scientific community is thus generated. We propose that there is greater access to TE, using the momentum of the information and communications technology (ICTs) for use adoption increases. KEY WORDS: Blastogenesis; Blastocyst; Blastocyst cavity; Terminologia Embryologica.
